Do you see value in Green Advantage?

Hello fellow SCLers,

Last year I was approached by Green Advantage, remember them from like 2005? There has been a LEED innovation credit for as long as I can remember.

Has anyone employed Green Advantage recently? Is anyone asking for it? Do clients pay for the training, is it an investment by your company, and/or a cost passed on to the trades?

Any other insights on Green Advantage?

Apparently there is a resurgance in pushing their credential - this is their description of their credentials:

The Green Advantage Certified Associate (GACA) and Green Advantage Certified Practitioner (GACP). These evidence-based certifications are designed to bring desirable results to construction companies, their workers and their clients. Applicable to prominent green building rating systems, codes and standards, the GACA, for field personnel, and the GACP, for supervisory personnel, ensure that workers, across trades, are familiar with hundreds of state-of-the-art green building means, methods, materials and best practices. Green Advantage certified teams can qualify for a LEED Innovation Credit on eligible projects. And for qualified veterans, the cost of certification is fully reimbursable. You can learn more by visiting this page of the Green Advantage website. You can also order this quick-read, free eBook.

They have approached our local USGBC chapter, and thru that, me.  They are promoting that there is a resurgence for their credential. We aren't seeing it in Illinois, but we want to be in the know, so they are  presenting at our Chicago Sustainable Construction Leaders meeting in December.
