Hi all, would like to check if a data center project only install M&E equipment at 2 storeys out of 5 storeys within the first few years, will the CxA scope required only cover energy related equipment installed at these 2 floors?
Thanks a lot.

Eric, if I understand your question correctly I believe that the Cx scope has to cover all five stories if they are all part of the LEED project, as long as they have some energy-related equipment.

Hi Tristan,
Thank you very much for the reply. But the remaining 3 storey will not have equipments in the next five years. Therefore, there is no equipment to commission for the remaining 3 storey.
What can be possibly done is the design checking (BoD and OPR) can cover the whole storeys, but the actual equipment commissioning, training and manual can only cover the first 2 storeys equiped.
Does that make sense? Thanks and cheers!

Eric, I would say you're right, but be careful to make sure there is absolutely no "energy-related" equipment you might not be thinking of in those three stories.

Hi Kim,
Thanks for reply. Ya, whatever minimum energy related equipments in the remaining three storeys (that is not occupied for the next few years), such as mechanical fans shall be included in commissioning. But things not installed, such as air conditioning shall be excluded.
Any further comment?
Thanks and cheers!
