To achieve this credit must you have a LEED AP ID+C as a principal participant, or can you have a LEED AP BD+C as a principal participant on a commercial interiors project and still achieve this credit?

Allen, for a CI project you would need a ID+C participant.

Hi Tristan, if the CI project is going for 2-stage submission, does it count if I don't hold LEED AP (ID+C) at the time of design submission but hold LEED AP (ID+C) at the time of construction submission? I'll register for the specialty exam, but I want to submit for design review now.

Yes, it counts. Just submit the credit during the construction submission.
