We researching the viability of pursuing LEED certification for interior renovation work in an older, existing building that is not LEED certified. The existing plant is to remain, and there will not be any improvements to the exterior envelope.
Our understanding is that commissioning is limited to only those systems and equipment included in the renovation scope. Just trying to wrap my head around whether/if this will meet both the commissioning and energy performance prerequisites.
Any advice appreciated!

Relative to the Cx prereq, I would document what you can as far as what is in your scope. Make sure to read the credit language carefully and not miss anything. Demonstrate that you have thought about this and not overlooked anything by concisely describing this process in your LEED online documentation and narrative.
In other words, there may be very little to do here, but make sure you've considered it carefully and appear to have done so.
