We are working on a project that will install terrazzo and polished concrete flooring. These are both mineral based and are exempt from testing requirements for flooring systems.
However, if we will add a colored surface hardener that comes in powder form and is made from cement, sand, additives and pigments. In this case, Will the terrazzo and polished concrete flooring still be exempt from testing?

I have found these products to be inherently inert as well, and not covered by SQAQMD; all of the msds sheets I have seen are zero VOC. I would include the product in the Flooring Adhesives and Finishes section.

Hello John, Do you think that only a VOC emissions testing will not be required for compliance with IEQc4.3?
A VOC content test is sufficient in our case?

The VOC testing for the hardener needs to be compliant with the criteria of SCAQMD, but the terrazzo and polished concrete flooring should still be exempt.
