Commercial food service equipment does contribute to the credit. However, searching the Energy Star website, it doesn't look like there is an Estar label for commercial or personal coffee makers. There is actually a recent scoping report on coffee makers that can be found here: http://www.energystar.gov/ia/products/downloads/ENERGY_STAR_Scoping_Report_Coffee_Makers.pdf
