Does anyone have an idea what process water using appliance could be considered "other?" i.e. a pulper, waste collector, both alternatives to disposals? If so, can the baseline potentially be LEED for Healthcare because it has baselines already set in that track? Thanks.

Suzanne, I don't know what is meant by "other," but it does seem logical that LEED for Healthcare could be used here.

I am considering using this credit as the basis for an ID credit for process water use reduction in a carwash at an automobile dealership.

There was a CIR on this issue specific to auto dealerships which you can access via this link. It references whole building approach and 10% savings overall, which is the basis I used to suggest for food service equipment in LEED tracks that didn't include it but where process water has impact. Here's the link.

WEc4 as I understand it is really specific to the kitchen and there are benchmarks that are food equipment-specific that most schools definitely have since they all have cafeterias. Hope it helps.

Regarding getting credit for process water, see our FAQ on the WEc3 page about precedents and pathways for going about this.
