Per Table 2.4 Building Performance Factors (BPF) for Complaicne with Standard 90.1-2016, if you have a mixed use building I assume that you would use the weighted averge (based on GSF) of each major building use type, correct? However, how are structure parking garages handled in this calculation (is this considered All Others)?
Example, Climate Zone 2A:
Retail - 38,784 SF (BPF = 0.53)
Office - 231,885 SF (BPF = 0.57)
Garage - 242,889 SF (BPF = 0.55) ???
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,
Has anyone found a resolution or had any experience with this issue?
I'm facing a similar situation, but in my case, it involves Data Center Space, which is not explicitly defined in ASHRAE 90.1-2016, Table 4.2.1.1 (Building Performance Factor – BPF). For climate zone 3A, I am assuming the building type falls under "All Others" with a BPF of 0.56.
Does this approach seem reasonable?
Thank you in advance for your insights!

Sorry I missed the first one. Yes use the weighted average. Unconditioned parking garages would not be included in this calculation.

I agree that a data center would be in the all others building type.
