How do I classify a Building already under construction; all Site Utilities in place, 1st Fl. slab in place and 1st Fl Ext. walls already up, in other words a 1st. Fl. Shell is in place.
Can I do it under NC?, or then my only alternative is EBOM? If so; I do I rate it if it's under construction, therefore no Performance, or Occupants yet!
Need some guidance here!

Juan, theoretically you could still pursue LEED-NC, but depending on the process you've followed you may have trouble documenting or meeting certain requirements (Fundamental Commissioning is a key prerequisite that would be of concern here). You can do EBOM, but you'll need 12 months of performance, so while you can start on your LEED strategies now, you'll some patience before you get your certification.

Hello, Tristan!
Could you please provide me with a link to an official source, where I can find the information about NC (LEEDv3) or EBOM rating system selection?
Some sources inform that EBOM certification is possible only after 12 months after occupancy, another - after 18 months. What period is correct?
I also can't find data about how long is it possible to certify a building under NC after occupancy? Is it strict rule that after 12 (or 18 months - whichever is correct) we have to use EBOM certification instead of NC?
Thank you in advance!

Nina, the link for rating system selection is at the top of this page.To certify under EBOM, you need a mininum of 12 months of energy performance data. You can begin the EBOM process during or just after construction, with the soonest you can submit being the 12-month mark. Many projects will go more like 18 months voluntarily to have time to get their project running normally.

Thank you, Tristan! It's clear about EBOM. But the question that is more targeted - how long is it possible to certify a building under NC after occupancy? Is it strictly one year and than you have to choose EBOM certification or is it not limited by the time as soon as you have evidential documentation about all prerequisites and credits completed correctly? What time after the occupancy you have to choose EBOM certification?
