Hello,
The bird collision deterrence credit requiers the building owner to "Develop a three-year initial monitoring plan to routinely monitor the building and site structures for bird collisions."
Is there a requirement in the frequency of the monitoring plan for projects that are within a bird migratory route?

Hi Vladimir,
The online credit language does not specifically require this, so projects do not have to provide anything unique to migratory routes or timing.
It it makes sense for your project location to vary the monitoring and be more frequent during these times, then it would be a good idea to include applicable adjustments and corrective actions.

Hi Emily,
Thank you for your answer. What corrective actions do you considered can be applicable in these cases?

Hi, Andres,
For corrective (or retro-fit) strategies, visit the American Bird Conservancy website (abcbirds.org) for a variety of options. Use your knowledge of the fundamentals related to collisions in order to help you develop a project-specific approach - and use mock-ups to verify assumptions and for stakeholder buy-in.
