Application of re-use of materials

Hi,  I have the same question. The material i would reuse offiste, can be reused as raw material for construction ? Or, the materiel must be reused directly, without any transformation? Thanks for your help. Guillaume

LEED does not have requirements for how a material should be reused. That should be up to the architect, structural engineer, etc. Don't misuse a material with LEED as a reason. New concrete is not the same as old concrete. There are some specific cases in LEED where to qualify for reuse you must reuse the material in a different location or purpose. For example, a door may be reused as a desk, or in a different location than it originally appeared in the building. That's the only thing that comes to mind to watch out for. That's under the sourcing of raw materials credit.
