Pilot-Credits EQpc21:Low-emitting interiors

All Interior finishes qualify based on IEQ 4.1-4.4, still pursue

If all interior finishes we have meet the requirements of IEQ 4.1-4.4, is it still possible to pursue this credit as well? Is it advisable in order to compare the two methods of review? Any input will be valued...

Trinidee, there is no exclusion on pursuing a regular credit along with a similar pilot credit.

We have attempted this pilot after demonstrating IEQc4 compliance. One of the major benefits of this initiative is by using a systems approach is that the contractor can address EQc4.1-4.6 within LEED 2009 all in one location and see the effect of noncompliance. This systems approach is an example of how LEED has driven Indoor Air Quality as a major element of creating a healthy and sustainable facility. Since most of us spend too much time indoors, a healthy environment helps us all. Lastly, LEED EQc4 standards have been incorporated into the California Green Building Code as well as local ordinances.
