90% Individual Controls

So, the requirement is to: Provide individual lighting controls for 90% (minimum) of the building occupants to enable adjustments to suit individual task needs and preferences. Provide lighting system controls for all shared multi-occupant spaces to enable adjustments that meet group needs and preferences. So, this means that private offices would need their own controllability. If it is one person in a private office then it is one light switch that is needed. Training rooms would be multi-occupant spaces and so would also need to have controllability in order to meet the needs of the space. Please take a look at the guidance above under "Birds Eye View" which provides examples of spaces that need individual controllability. Hope that helps!

I have a private office with TWO occupants. I think this should count as two individual workstations, not a multi-occupant space - is this correct? If only one light switch is provided, can I claim one lighting control for one workstation? Both workstations are within 10' of an operable window. Can both workstations get credit for thermal control from this single window? (sorry to switch to IEQc6.2 there, but I think it is justified by the continuity of clarifying application of the space matrix)

That's right. I have claimed one light switch for one person before in this context. In a similar case, I think you can do the same for the thermal comfort question.
