how is this credit calculated? can in include existing floor slab and deck? we are leaving a portion of the exiting walls that are about 20ft tall and our ceilings will be at 9'. can i calculate the full height of these walls and both sides? Is this 50% of all existing or is it compared to new construction. Our project is on the second floor and we will be removing the majority of the existing walls but most of the new walls will be demountables.

floating this back up - Mark, did you end up pursuing this credit and if so how did you approach it / what were the results?
We're working on an office project and looking to consider this credit, trying to determine between v4 and v4.1 and which approaches make the most sense for this project. That and how to appropriately calculate for the credit.

Yarden, yes we did go for this credit and we followed the example 1 (option 1) v4 in the credit further explanation. We stayed in v4 since the newer version doesn't have additional information to use for reference. USGBC missed the credit in our design review so I don't have any feedback on if they accepted the credit or not yet. In our schedules, we are counting the new office partitions as furniture since they are demountable partitions provided by the furniture vendor.
