The Reference Guidance book clearly states: Option 1 Flush-Out Path 1 Before Occupancy: Total 14,000 cubic ft of outdoor air per sf and Option 1 Flush-Out Path 2 During Occupancy 3,500 cubic ft of outdoor air per sf. This, to me, appears to contradict the answer provided for LEEDUser's practice question below: When performing a building flushout, how much cubic feet of outside air per square foot of floor area must be flushed through the space before the client can occupy the space? The requirements of the Indoor Air Quality Assessment credit call for a total of 14,000 cubic feet of outside air per square foot of floor area; however, as described in the GreenStep Study Guide, the client may begin occupying the space after 3,500 cubic feet of outside air per square foot has been flushed through the space. The question is asking how many cubic feet of outside air before move-in which is 3,500. If it asked how many cubic feet before completion or before the credit requirements are satisfied, then the answer would be 14,000.
