NC-2009 SSc7.2:Heat Island Effect—Roof

100% Glass roof

Our project is a showroom for trucks that considers a 2 story building as sales room and an outside exhibition of the trucks. There is a roof covering the offices building and the area where the trucks will be parked, as a protection from rain and sun, and it’s 100% made of glass. Can I apply for this credit? Which roof should I consider for compliance? How do I document it if I don’t know the SRI of the material?

Trinidad, my take on this is that you would not be eligible for this credit. First, if you don't know the SRI, you can't document the credit. Second, skylights are normally excluded from the credit calculations, so if you're all skylight, you have no area to document. Typically in LEED not having area that is relevant to credit requirements means that you are not eligible for that credit.
