One Click LCA

This subscription-based software allows creation and comparison of LCA options throughout the design process. The software has a LEED v4-specific LCA module and reporting tools. Data are available for North America, Europe, and Australasia, and global averages can be used. One Click LCA can be used via a browser but also integrates with Revit, IESVE, and DesignBuilder.

What formula should I use to determine the size of my collection/storage area?

The LEED Reference Guide includes recommended square footages based on building size, but remember, there is no minimum size requirement in LEED v4. Teams are instead encouraged to think through the expected amount of waste generated to be by occupants, and consider other factors like pick-up frequency, in order to adequately size the project’s recyclables collection/storage areas. Depending on your project type, consider soliciting input from the owner, facilities staff, housekeeping, and the planned recycling services provider.
