Inconsistent ITE Referenced Documentation, Which to use??

Hi, Brian! That USGBC table is truly dreadful. I'm checking in with the expert on this credit to see what her answer is. I'm not sure why our toolkit has the 5th edition instead of the 3rd, since the credit language is clear—but at the same time, the 3rd edition is decidedly outdated (from 2009). Have you considered the v4.1 version of this credit, which has more options? (It also references the 5th edition, though.)  

Hi Brian, Agreed on this thread. A clear version of the table is in the actual LEED v4 reference manual. I use the online version except for this table. I don't know how to put a snip up here, but here is what it says for Office 100K to 500K: If x = SF, 3.4-[0.6 x (x-100,000)/400,000] spaces per 1000 SF.

Brian, at this point Michelle has pretty much answered this, but I wanted to add this reply I received from Mudhar Aldurra of Integral Group: The LEED reference guide provides a clear table for parking base ratios under the credit's Step-by-Step Guidance.   For Office building 100,000 to 500,000 ft²    Parking base ration: 3.4-[0.6 x (x-100,000)/400,000] spaces per 1,000 ft   Typically, we use the ITE assumptions/claculations when the USGBC reference guide parking base ratio table does not capture a specific type of building.  I'll also remove the 5th edition guide from our v4 documentation toolkit and add it instead to our v4.1 resources! Thanks for the heads up about that oversight.

I have an issue with designating a use-type for the building i'm working on.  My building is a maintenance garage for sanitation trucks.  But whether I'm looking at the summarized ITE table in the LEED handbook or the actual ITE tables in the LEED v4 resource section on the website, none of them mention required parking spaces for a maintenance garage.  But I have to show something in the form to prove we have reached 100% in percent reduction in parking capacity from the ITE handbook.  Has anyone faced a similar issue?  How do I resolve this?
