Hello all!
I was able to get the water analysis report from the responsible party, however they don't measure the Silicon oxide parameter, can we still target this credit if all other cocnentration levels/no. of cycles are achieved.
Also if the concentration levels in the condenser water parameters are higher than those mandated in LEED, but the no, of cycle is met, can we still achieve the credit?

Dear Nermin,
You need to have the concentrations measured for all five parameters including the SiO2 and then determine the number of cycles based on the highest concentration.
If the measured concentration levels are higher than the maximum levels, this means that your number of cycles will be less than one. I suggest that you don't use that water in the condenser without treatment. It may cause problems in the condenser system.

Hello Zeynep,
Thanks for your quick response.
The water analysis report follows local guidelines in measuring the water concentration levels and the parameters don't include SiO2.
The building is supplied by district cooling, however it's not on a city level, it's on an area (neighbourhood) basis, can we still use this analysis to target this credit?

Dear Nermin,
I don't think that you can comply with the credit requirements without SiO2 measurement.
If you want to go for this credit, in my opinion, you should have a water treatment professional perform the analysis for all five parameters (don't use the current report).
As for the district cooling system, I suggest that you consult with your LEED coach. I'd be glad if you share the answer here.
