Lighting Controls for Natatorium

It seems to me that it would be inappropriate to have dimmers in a natatorium for safety reasons. Has anyone worked on this credit for a natatorium project?

Thank you

I agree, it is inappropriate to have dimmers (or really any occupant-controlled lighting) in natatoriums.  GBCI has allowed me to exclude rooms from the lighting controls credit requirements if life/safety is a concern such as commercial kitchens and 24/7 industrial factories.  Please note that there should be some conference rooms/classrooms/breakrooms, etc. to achieve this point. I would not expect that GBCI would allow you to exclude everything and achieve the credit.  With your submission, it is recommended to make a list of multi-occupant rooms/spaces that include a life/safey concern - and hence have been excluded from this credit requirement.  Good Luck!
