NC-v4.1 EAp2:Minimum Energy Performance

Baseline HVAC System Requirements

Hi,

I am having a hard time understanding which efficiencies should be applied to HVAC systems in the baseline as I find the text in ASHRAE std. 90.1 2016 G3.1.2.1 Equipment efficiencies confusing. Are we supposed to use tables G3.5.1 through G3.5.6 or use the equations provided along with tables 6.8.1-1 through 6.8.1-4? Also where the size category is a range does Q represent the lower end or the higher end?

Any clarification on the required method is highly appreciated.

Use Table G3.5.1 to G3.5.6. I think that Q is the system size auto-calculated by the baseline model.
