Pilot-Credits INpc137:Cleaning and Disinfecting Your Space for Emerging Pathogens

If this Pilot Credit is pursued as an ID credit under initial ID+C certification, can Green Cleaning also be pursued?

If this Pilot Credit is pursued as an ID credit under initial LEED-ID+C v4 certification, can Green Cleaning (as part of the O+M Starter Kit) also be pursued? Or is that considered "double dipping"?

Hello Susan,  Pilot-Credits INpc137: Safety First: Cleaning and Disinfecting Your Space  (as a pilot strategy) and INc Green Cleaning Policy  (as an innovation startegy) can be both attempted for the LEED ID+C v4 certification. There is no O+M Starter Kit for LEED ID+C v4 certification, but the INc Green Cleaning Policy alone can be attempted as an innovation strategy. Hope this helps!

To me it would seem that the two credits (and the goal of the pilot program) do not make them in conflict when it comes to submitting both.

Hi Susan, I can confirm that I have successfully submitted both those credits at once on multiple projects and been awarded them each time.

I have also submitted for both on two projects and they were awarded on both.

Based on our experience with the implementation of this pilot credit, we agree that the pilot credit and the Green Cleaning Policy can complement each other. Both strategies support healthier indoor environments and improved cleaning practices, while addressing different aspects of building operations. We found that pursuing both can provide additional value without creating significant implementation challenges.
