IEC 62196 Connector

We're working on a project in Brazil where the client wants to install a vehicle charger that complies, and are certified, with regional or local standards for electrical components.

This charger also has an electrical connector that complies with IEC 62196, as required by LEED Guidelines, however they are not yet certified under this standard - the manufacturer is undergoing a certification process in France.

The charger complies with all other LEED requirements.

Would this charger be accepted by LEED, since they comply with IEC 62196, even though they are not yet certified?

Hi, For electrical connectors, the required documentation to be uploaded in LEED online is manufacturers product specification highlighting charge capability, compliance with relevant standards (one of them is IEC 62196), and internet addressability or network capability for the EVSE. So as long as the manufacturers' product specification indicating compliance with relevant standards or IEC 62196, it should be accepted.
