Working on projects in dense urban areas, there is rarely parking within the 200 foot or 300 foot walking distance of the building entry. For my current project the parking garage at which the client has spaces assigned is about 300 yards from the building. If the bicycle parking (short and long term) is assigned within this same parking garage,
Has anyone successfully argued that although it is longer than the minimum, it is within the expectations for people working in this area?

I have not been able to successfully waive the distance requirements when locating bike storage indoors. About a year ago I spoke with GBCI and they mentioned that they are tasked to enforce the distance requirements internal and external to the building. But every few months an updated ref guide is issued, so perhaps check through the recent language and you may find path...but from discussions with GBCI on this, i would not expect it. Apologies that I am not able to help you navigate through this one.
