NC-v4 EQc2:Low emitting materials

Standard for VOC Content for Paints and Coatings

Under LEED v4 or LEED v4.1 - Low emitting materials credit

Does anyone know if either of these categories can be complied with for Paints and Coatings or is it CARB for Coatings and SCAQMD Rule 1113 for Paints?

  • Paints and coatings:
    • California Air Resource Board (CARB) 2007 Suggested Control Measure (SCM) for Architectural Coatings
    • South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Rule 1113, effective February 5, 2016

Hello Ruju,  v4.1 - Either of the above requirement meets the VOC content evaluation for the Paints and Coatings category.  v4 - Either of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) 2007, Suggested Control Measure (SCM) for Architectural Coatings, or the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Rule 1113, effective June 3, 2011 will meet the VOC content evaluation for the Paints and Coating category.
