Hi gang,
Following up on the recent Air Quality Design Jam at the summit, I’d like to round up the folks interested in supporting an Air Quality Working Group.
Didn’t attend the summit? No worries – everyone is welcome! We had a good group the other week and several of us want to continue the conversation.
The design jam explored a handful of areas: existing building considerations, ventilation vs. filtration, contaminant thresholds, resilience, covid, and occupant engagement. The wrap up summary can be found on the Miro board here: https://miro.com/app/board/o9J_lTwMaYI=/
The specific direction of the working group has yet to be specifically defined, but I think once we reconnect, we can readily establish a clear direction and goals for the group. Bring your ideas!
A few ideas that rose up during the session include (1) working to understand and/or develop a unified indoor air quality standard, (2) compiling associated research to make it readily available to the group/industry, and (3) developing a tool to support selecting a monitor most appropriate for a given project application. The conversation will certainly evolve, and our direction may shift, but it is a great area for collaboration.
Please respond to me if you are interested (jmlade@wightco.com). I’ll work with RoseAnn to set up an Air Quality Working Group page in the Peer Networks Hub and we will take it from there.
Thanks, John M
