Hi All,
We are doing the energy model for office building under LEED v4 ID+C. The building consists of Open office areas, cabin areas, meeting rooms & Training Rooms. Other areas such toilets & electric rooms are out of project scope. The project is meeting all the mandatory requirements as per ASHRAE 90.1.2010. In addition, lighting control is provided for cabin areas (less than 250 sq.ft), meeting rooms & training rooms as per 9.4.
Further, the following requirements are mentioned in Minimum Energy Performance Calculator (MEPC),
Baseline and proposed lighting is modeled using the automatic and manual controls in Section 9.4 including automated shutoff controls, daylighting controls, occupant sensor controls, etc. The energy modeling schedules account for these mandatory control requirements.
Occupant sensors or timer switches are included in the proposed, and modeled in the baseline for classrooms, lecture halls, conference rooms, meeting rooms, training rooms, employee lunch and break rooms, storage and supply rooms between 50 to 1,000 sq ft (15.24 to 304.8 sq m), copying and printing rooms, office spaces up to 250 sq ft (76.2 sq m), restrooms, dressing rooms, locker rooms, fitting rooms, and parking garages per Section 9.4.1.2b and 9.4.1.3b.
Mandatory automatic daylighting controls are included in the proposed, and modeled in the baseline for primary side lighted areas in enclosed spaces greater than 250 sq ft (23 sq m), and top lighted areas greater than 900 sq ft (84 sq m), and parking garages as applicable per Sections 9.4.1.4, 9.4.1.5, and 9.4.1.3 respectively.
Mandatory step controls are included in the proposed and modeled in the baseline for all spaces enclosed by ceiling height partitions per Sections 9.4.1.2a.
we need a clarification to model the above requirements in both baseline & proposed energy models.
Is it correct, if we consider 50% of peak demand in both models for the spaces where lighting control is mandatory?

Sorry but I don't understand your question, could you clarify it?
You model the proposed as designed or identical to the baseline if the space has not been designed. You must model the baseline to include the minimum requires in the mandatory provisions.
