CI-v4 EAc2:Optimize energy performance

AEDG Calculator Needed When Base Building Systems Weren't Modified or Contributing to Savings?

I have a small office fit-out project that is pursuing Option 2 (prescriptive) for Optimize Energy Performance. The base building air handling units, central cooling and boilers, perimeter baseboard heating were not modified. All of the energy savings are being achieved through a reduced LPD, controls, and zoning.   Do we still need to provide the ‘AEDG calculator’ as part of our documentation?

If the credit form asks for it then yes you need to fill out the calculator.

Hi all,Our project is only documenting the options for glazing and HVAC zoning and controls. I have populated the glazing-related section of the AEDG table (small to medium office), but our mech engineers are saying that none of the other fields listed in the table apply to our project (interior reno in existing bldg). Does this sound feasible, and if so, it should be fine for us to leave all other fields blank (or write n/a), correct? I would also add a note in the form telling the reviewer that the fields in the table do not apply to our project.

For a little additional clarity, the system types listed in the form are not what is used within our building or spaces - hence not applying.I would hope that - if our space still has ways to implement zoning and controls that are contributing to efficiencies - our project would still be meeting the intent of the credit, and hence may still be eligible for the 2 points.

Your approach makes sense to me. If the form does not include what you need to explain the situation make sure to provide a narrative explaining this to the reviewer.
