CI-v4 EAp2:Minimum energy performance

No envelope data

I'm modeling a fit out space in which the data for the base building envelope (U values and SHGC) are not available, need to know if I can use the baseline envelope data in my proposed model?
if not what can I do to model my proposed case please?

Typically we would attempt to ascertain and evaluate the existing condition to derive the Uvalue.

We are still trying to retrieve the data, hwever, is there any alternative if we failed to retrieve the base building envelope data? Also, would it be acceptable to use a calculation tool (for instance Window 6) to estimate U-value and SHGC?

The best alternative is to make as conservative (contributes to your savings less than you think it will) an assumption as you can. Assume a worst case scenerio. SHGC is probably the hardest despending on the glazing in place.

You can measure SHGC in the field - http://energy-models.com/forum/measurement-shgc-field Yes you can use a calculation tool to estimate U- Values!

I believe you can use Table A8.2 from ASHRAE 90.1 2010, but this is not recommended as it will likely penalize the project becuase the U-values are very high.
