Chicago Project Examples

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for projects in Chicago that are exemplary in at least one of the following topics: Biophilia, Sustainability, Resilience, or Well-being. I know there is overlap in these topics but we're doing an internal design exercise and are looking at how these different ideas relate and are articulated in buildings. We're using Chicago as our reference city due to it's location, size, and municipal sustainability progress.

I'd also be intersted in speaking with someone from the City of Chicago about current sustainability efforts if you have any good connections to share.

Thanks,

Tiffany Broyles Yost

See how much info is available from Rush hospital. I know we've (Jacobs) been involved with them for years on their renovation/construction projects and are still on-site with them now, I'm just not sure how much of it is made public.

Yes, we also just did a LEED Gold RUSH outpatient ortho job. I don't know if you are looking for out of the ground of TI projects in Chicago, but I can probably talk to you about both.   Feel free to connect with me direct Tiffany -pslloyd@leopardo.com

Check out Sasaki's Riverwalk project,  https://www.sasaki.com/projects/chicago-riverwalk/ for resilient transformation of the Chicago River.  It's designed to flood with the rising water levels, and includes floating wetlands and fish habitats along the Jetty.
