We are evaluating the possibility of applying for the Renewable Energy Production credit under LEEDv4.1 for an office building that is receiving renewable energy from the grid.
One of the requirements to meet this credit is that the PV panels must be in the same regional sub-grid.
Is there a map of the energy distribution grid? How do I find out whether the location of PV panels installed by the utility falls in the same regional sub-grid as the project location?
Here’s a link to LEED v4.1 requirement for the Optimize Energy Performance and Renewable Energy Production credits for information.

Contact your local utility. You might be able to determine the service territory by looking at the tariff sheets. Sometimes they indicate the service area by municipality.

I assumed this referred to the eGrid region (for projects in the United States): https://www.epa.gov/sites/production/files/2018-12/egrid2016_subregions_...
As I understand it, these are the grid management regions wherein generation assets are balanced against each other, so within each region adding renewables can displace the fossil fuel generators in that region.
