My project team received this comment and we are not sure how to address it. We have submitted a number of LEED-CI v4 projects and have never received this comment. Has anyone had this experience, and do you have advice on how to address it?
It is unclear whether all the applicable equipment installed in the project meets the mandatory control requirements of ASHARE 90.1-2010 Section 8.4.2.
Provide additional documentation, including the automated receptacle control information, etc., to confirm that the mandatory control requirements of Section 8.4.2 (for all applicable equipment, the automatic control device has been installed and commissioned as required) have been met for all applicable equipment installed in the project.

I haven’t seen the comment before, but it sounds straightforward. I’d just markup and send a typical plan, schedule, spec section, and cutsheets showing how this requirement is met (either timer or occ sensor). It’s likely the reviewer just couldn’t find the information easily on the drawings and wants to confirm.
Unless I’m missing something?

Does the project meet these mandatory control requirements? If so just point out how they are met and modeled. If not then there is a LEED Interpretation that tells you how to do the modeling in a way that you pay a penalty for not complying but do not eliminate the abilty to certify because you did not meet a mandatory provision.
