Hi folks,
No details have been sorted out yet, but I wanted everyone to have a heads-up that the SCL Steering Group is proposing that we graduate to a full, stand-alone SCL Summit in 2020. (Until now we’ve been squeezing our Summit into the day before Greenbuild, which is good in some ways, but problematic in others—and limits our time together.)
We’re hoping we might be able to do the 2020 Summit in Chicago in the Summer, in conjunction with the big Sustainable Design Leaders Summit. We’re considering both a day-and-a-half Summit and then the option of joining a trainer-led workshop that would be shared with the SDL.
Much is yet TBD about that, but we wanted to put out word right away because a stand-alone Summit would add costs, and it would be great to get that included in your budget planning sooner rather than later. Just rough numbers, we’re thinking that the costs might be around $750-$950 for just the Summit, $900-$1200 for the Summit + workshop. All expenses (food, lodging) are included in these costs—but not your travel, of course.
We’re happy to get thoughts and reactions to this idea—either on this forum or us privately: roseann@buildinggreen.com; nadav@buildinggreen.com
And we’re looking forward to seeing many of you in a few weeks in Chicago—the one-day Summit we’ve planned for Nov 19 is coming together beautifully. We’ve also got the all-Peer Networks Show & Tell that evening, and a reception in the works. It’s not too late to sign up!
