Hi,
We are working on a project with an occupancy of 1,500 people. According to the reference guide, at least 250 surveys should be done to get a score.
Is there an specific period to report the surveys? (Different from the LEED O+M Reference Guide, where it should be conducted everyday for a week).
Thanks

Good morning!
Its our understanding that the survey must be done within the same 12-month period that all of the other data sets fall into, so if your energy, water and waste for example, fall between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019, than the surveys would need to have been done during this time, as well as the IAQ testing, etc. Everything needs to fall in the same 12-month period.
We are however having issues with Data Completion during submittal. Arc states that our transportation and occupant comfort surveys are only 36% and 78% complete respectively, which is odd because the same number of people responded to the surveys. It is not entirely clear whats missing. Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,

And no - from what we can tell the surveys completed in Arc are open ended, meaning that people can continuously answer surveys, but the total number of surveys must meet the minimum required to be recognized. This creates a frustrating runaway train effect if the other data points do not align with surveys, where more surveys are then needed, and if it takes too long, more utility data is needed, and so on. I suggest requiring that all surveys (which are the most difficult part of this whole process to obtain) are targeted for a single month if at all possible, to keep the bracket tight and better understand where the cutoff is at the end of the 12-month period.

Hi Levi - I had a similar issue on an EB recert. All information must be captured for the same reporting period. If you have not submitted for inital review yet, I would say go ahead because the reviewer will ask for reporting period clarification, at which point you can write a narrative explaining the reporting period to cover all performance sections.
I hope this helps!
