NC-v4 EQc6:Interior lighting

Lighting group control for On/Off/Mid Lighting control requirement

Dear LEEDusers,

We have a project with a manufacturing space to pursue the Interior lighting control credit. Dimmers for task lights is not acceptable as safety issue.

To meet the 3 lighting level of the lighting control without using dimmers, our engineers propose lighting group control: For each group of lighting fixtures will have 2 light switches, each switch will turn on/off 50% number of light fixtures.

Will this meet the LEED requirements or any recommendation?

Best regards,

Tom

We have been successfully awarded this credit on previous projects where the manufacturing space did not put in 'multi-occupant' space lighitng controls as outlined by the credit requirements.  The factory was 24/7 365 days per year and life/safety is a concern. GBCI approved it.  We had a similar instance in a commercial kitchen.
