Does anyone have access to a v4.1 low-emitting calculator? Since some categories are now quantified by cost, volume, or square footage it warrants a different calculator.

Our team has also been searching for a v4.1 LEM calculator. Does anyone know if one been developed yet?
It would be extremely helpful to have for the review response I am currently preparing.

as far as i know, v4.1 tools/templates/calculators and LEED online credit templates have not been developed yet.
i have been told by GBCI that they will not be provided until the v4.1 rating system is sent out to the members for a vote and approved.

There is no 4.1 LEM calculator yet. The beta version is scheduled to be released later this month, but there is no set date. Until then, you use the v4 calculator. It's not ideal by any means. I recently changed my LEM credit from 4 to 4.1, and had my LEM credits sent back to me as an MRC three times on the same project. In the end we only earned one point for achieving two categories.

great insight Cynthia! thanks for sharing.
...btw...a seasoned GBCI reviewer has mentioned that she still has not seen a project team achieve the adhesives and sealants category. Wonder what the LEEDuser world is experiencing on this??

If you're still using Green Badger on your project, it exports a v4.1 calculator for LEM and the materials credits. Just toggle to v4.1 in the upper right hand corner of the credit!

Is there a reason why "inherently non-emitting" is not available as a compliance option for Insulation?

Hi All - I was using version 01 of the v4.1 Low Emitting Calculator. But I noticed under Sealants for Architectural Applications, it is listing "all other sealants" as 50. But under an older v4 version of this same calculator, it lists it as 250. When I look at the Rule 1168 Source doc for October 2017, which is what I thin the version is supposed to be, it lists 250, and then 50 as of 1/1/2019. But my understanding is we are using the 2017 version, so the 1/1/19 date is not relevant. Is the first version of that calculator wrong to have the 50 in there instead of 250?? That is a big deal on some things like firestop sealants. I see someone posted a new link on 1/22/20, but it seems to be broken now...does anybody have another link to the latest v 4.1 low emitting calculator so I can see if this was updated? Thank you!

Joseph, In response to my question about that VOC limit, I received this comment from the GBCI Technical Team: "Thank you for your email regarding LEED v4.1 Low-emitting materials calculator. Yes, per SCAQMD Rule 1168, October 6, 2017, the voc limit for other architectural sealants is 250 g/L not 50g/L. We are aware of this typographical error in the calculator and the concerned team is currently working on resolving this issue, however this process will take some more time. In the meantime, project teams are advised to provide a narrative in the Special Circumstances section of the EQc Low emitting materials credit form, explaining to the reviewer that there is an error in the v4.1 LEM calculator. You should also provide a copy of your own calculations in this section to demonstrate compliance with the credit requirements. Please include a copy of this email as well for the benefit of the reviewers."

Hi Laurie - Thanks for that follow up. Yes, around the time I posted this, I inquired with the LEED team and got essentially the same response. Good to see consistency in their response.

We are having trouble with the new thresholds for CDPH 2017, are they not accepting anything from previous versions? Does having a product from 2011 deem the product not in compliance?

Hello,
I'm using the LEED V4.1 LEM calculator. For VOC content, MA is covered under OTC rule. When I choose "Others (specify)", it does not let me add the VOC content limit in Column L and asks for password.
Did anyone else have this issue?

Hello,
Under Composite wood, for the formaldehyde emissions evaluation (criteria met), does anyone know which one I should pick for the Hoover treated wood - pyro-guard?
