Ms. Greenwood brings over 17 years of experience as a sustainability consultant, providing services to clients pursuing green building certification, developing sustainable business initiatives, producing climate action plans, and updating codes and standards. Her expertise and insight into emerging green building practices and technologies provide a unique perspective for clients, and her demonstrated experience in sustainable program development and management helps guide project teams through goal setting, planning, and implementation processes. She also advises clients on building efficiency opportunities and cost-effective solutions. Ms. Greenwood’s experience includes consulting on LEED projects, addressing various building types that include multifamily residential, commercial offices, industrial buildings, higher education facilities, community centers, government buildings, and retail and hospitality. She has served as one of a few LEED project reviewers for the Green Building Certification Institute.
In addition, Ms. Greenwood has helped manage several critical research efforts to inform updates to codes and standards, including the California State Building Energy Code (Title 24), LEEDv2009 and v4, EPA Tools for Schools Program, the Collaborative for High Performance School Criteria, and related public interests. Her experience with climate services includes aiding companies, higher educational institutions, and municipalities to engage in comprehensive greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventories of their operations and develop roadmaps toward emissions reductions. She has assisted cities in California in pursuing the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant funding and has guided them through a process to establish goals—and ultimately establish projects and strategies—to achieve reduced energy and GHG emissions. She also has responded to the Carbon Disclosure Project for a Fortune 500 company and higher education institutions signed on to the American Colleges and Universities Presidents Climate Commitment and PlaNYC Commitment in the New York area.
