Ariane Laxo, CID, LEED AP ID+C, EDAC, is an interior designer and Associate Vice President at HGA in Minneapolis. She has led HGA’s resilience research, tool and process development since 2014. Under her leadership, HGA has developed a resilient design process that involves forecasting, assessing, and planning for risk, with the client as a partner and critical decision-maker throughout. From using climate projection data to inform early design decisions to leading collaborative resilience planning workshops, HGA has led the industry in the integration of climate resilience into practice.
Ariane has served on USGBC's LEED Resilience Working Group, is founding chair of the Minnesota Resiliency Collaborative, a knowledge-sharing forum for climate change adaptation professionals across the state, and has represented HGA in AIA's National Resilience Initiative - Upper Midwest Hub.
