We submitted a Green Cleaning policy as a BD+C LEED v4 innovation credit. The reviewers said our only option now was to submit via this pilot credit. This seems to be a huge jump in scope. Not only does it require documentation for 4 prerequisites, it also adds the IPM. While it's fine for ambitious clients to pursue this approach - to condense 5 EBOM credits into 1 innovation credits - it's too much to ask. We are trying to move the market, not put it out of reach. Can anyone comment on how I can respond to this reviewer assertion - that our only path now for green cleaning innovation is this?

Hi Martha, the Starter Kit credit only requires the project to attempt two of the EBOM prereqs - not all 5. It sounds like the review comment is pointing you toward the now-retired pilot credit, not the Innovation credit in the Innovation catalog. If that's the case, or even if the comment was fine but you ended up at the outdated starter kit pilot credit requirements, that's probably worth pointing out the lack of clarity/consistency to USGBC. But look in the Innovation catalog for the the most up to date requirements, which are much more doable.
