We have a CI project and have a query in relation to Core Performance Guide Criteria.
We are utilising the base build central plant (AHUs, Chillers, boilers). Both the Chillers and boilers meet the minimum efficiencies as outlined in the Core Performance Guide, however, my query is in relation to the AHU.
The AHU is a fixed fresh air supply and extract system with local fan coil units providing heating and cooling.
The supply and return fans have been sized based on index runs and maximising efficiency.
As the requirement for variable speed drives only applies to VAV systems, will the fixed fresh air system comply by default?
