ND-Plan-v4 GIBp2:Minimum building energy performance

Which Prescriptive Compliance guidelines for large office buildings?

Hi,

I am preparing the energy planning guidelines for a LEED ND Plan Business sector. I am looking for prescriptive compliance guidelines for office buildings 30 or more stories tall (more than 20,000 square meters built) but the only document mentioned for buildings that big is the ASHRAE 50% Advanced Energy Design Guide for Large Hospitals. Should i be using the Large Box Retail Buildings guidelines instead, or the hospital guidelines? Or is the only option for buildings that big the Whole Building Energy Simulation option? Can i ask which option is more popular/ simpler to perform for large-scale projects?

Thanks,

Sareet Benayahu

Sarit, prescriptive compliance under Option 2 or 3 isn't available for office buildings over 9,290 sq. meters, so you have to follow Option 1 whole-building simulation. Eliot
