Commerical Kitchen Equipment - App.3 requirements

We have a Market space fit-out that has multiple tenants within the this market space (multiple food vendors and restaurants). Some of the tenants will have space fit-out in the overall market scope of work, however some of the tenants will be providing their own fit-out and equipment at a later date. If the project is pursuing the prescriptive path to meet the prerequisite, does the commercial kitchen equipment have demonstrate compliance with Appendix 3?

Is the project a tenant space with subtenants? Sounds like some sort of hybrid CS-CI project. Under the prerequisite the applicable equipment must be Energy Star compliant. It appears that Appendix 3 include the Energy Star minimums for the prescriptive path.
