Based on the language in SCAQMD 1113 (June 3, 2011) and CARB 2007 SCM for Architectural Coatings, aerosol paints/coatings (i.e. spray paint) are specifically excluded from VOC limit requirements.
Based on this, it is assumed that these products are are exempt from meeting LEED v4 VOC requirements, however, does this mean that they are also exempt from meeting the Emissions testing requirement?
Any insight would be appreciated.

Great question! Since both reference standards explicitly exclude the product type, we infer that it's not considered a paint or coating for LEED purposes, so wouldn't include it in the credit.

We are trying to find a VOC compliant product for 'Interior adhesives and sealantsapplied on site (including flooring adhesive)' for installation of millwork. Considering Product # 740A from WilsonArt. Question on LEED cover sheet under Low-Emitting Materials LEED Credits is VOC Content (g/l). Aerosol cans only provide the VOC content in wt%. We think we have to be 250 g/l or less. It's mostly the propellet that has the VOC's. How would this be reported on the LEED form that only accepts g/o, 250 or less ?
