CS-2009 WEc1:Water Efficient Landscaping

5% vegetation of the site area by grass block

Hi everyone, our project now has a vegetation ratio of 2.3% which is lower than required 5%, and there are a large number of the open parking areas on the ground. And now we are considering is that possible for using grass blocks for the parking area(grass block such as Bosun) to help achieve this credit?

Maybe. There are multiple benefits captured by LEED to using grass paving like that. Can you use grasses that don't require irrigation? Regular turf grass won't work.
