Occupancy Calculations in LEEDv4

In the new simplified Project Information forms there is no longer a calculator for FTE counts. Are teams using the historic v3 calculators to estimate FTE (along with the baked in assumptions)? Skimming the guide default counts are also less descriptive compared to the v3 appendix. Any help appreciated!

Thanks,
Arathi

Arathi, there are some simple guidelines in the reference guide about how to calculate FTEs. Have you already looked that over and not found what you need?

Paula, Thanks for following up, I did look through those and was wondering what analogy we can use for a Library program. Is there a preferred Educational option?  This is a for a public library so we will start with counting seats but wanted to cross check with the default occupancy counts in case our seat count seems artificially low. Thanks for your input!

Hmm, yes, that is a tricky question! My impulse would be to consider library visitors analogous to retail customers, but that might introduce even more complications....

This may be helpful: http://publiclibrariesonline.org/2012/12/the-public-library-data-service-2012-statistical-report-characteristics-and-trends/
It has average numbers of visits per capita.  I have used similar types of data (population served, number of visits, etc.) to justify number of users to a public park. which was accepted by the reviewer. Good luck!

For a New Construction V4 Project with unknown office occupancy, can the BDC Reference Guide Appendix 2 (Default Occupancy Counts) be used to estimate the occupancy? Or is it that the Appendix 2 can ONLY be used for Core & Shell Projects?
