Restaurant: LEED V4 ID+C Commercial Interiors or LEED V4 ID+C Retail?

Hi!

I'm registering a project about a restaurant, and I'm not sure if I have to use LEED V4 ID+C Commercial Interiors or LEED V4 ID+C Retail.

I don't know if a restaurant is known as a retail service.

Could you help me?

Thank you

I see some restaurant names on this retail list: https://www.usgbc.org/projects/retail---new-construction

I think Paula's advice is very strong. Review the retail rating system and see how your project lines up and if the credits are achievable. If you can achieve the MPR, prerequisites, and enough credits then this likely is the correct system for you. Do the same thing for CI - I think you'll find that the CI system is more generally for office building type occupancy and the retail will be a better fit, but compare the two for yourself since you know the project the best.

Hello, I have a similar questions but with some more nuance. I'm working on a five story core and shell project that has a first floor tenant (grocery space) build-out. The core and shell are going to be LEED certified by request of the owner.  The tenants for the first floor are now asking about LEED certification as well, i wasn't sure what rating system to use, whether it be ID+C Commercial Interiors or ID+C Retail. Any thoughts?  thank you, Sean

Probably use Retail as its a specific fit for your project. But review the scorecard and see how well it fits!
