Hi,
I need a couple of clarificaitons regarding the Outdoor Airflow that has to be listed in Table 1.4.7.B of the proposed systems. The project is located in California.
The helpful notes(grey column) mention "Actual minimum outdoor airflow rates consistent with Mechanical Schedule".
a) Is this an indicator that it should at least provide the minimum OA per the schedules; or must the cfm match the minimum OA cfm of the system?
b) In our project, the mech schedules a range of OA with min and max. If the answer to question (a) is yes, then in the case with the min/max range, is it acceptable if the inputs for Table 1.4.7B are within the range; or must they also match the min OA?

The maximum OA is the cfm that should be entered for the Proposed systems. The model is required to reflect the actual design of the systems. So the summary of the modeling inputs should be the same as the values in the mechanical schedules. If something changes to make the schedules inaccurate then the discrepancy should be explained.

Thank you for your response and clarification. If it's the maximum to be entered why does the grey Help column says minimum? That causes confusion.

The grey box advice is assuming that any maximum would be related to economizer not demand controlled ventilation. Sorry it took so long to get back to you I had to ask the author of the spreadsheet.
