Innovation credits from WELL rating system

Hi Gabriela, This is a great question, but I have not seen a definitive ruling anywhere (you may want to check credit interpretations to confirm). My sense of it is that LEED is generally open to accepting WELL features, but you should review the LEED ID requirements in detail. They have made the requirements for ID credits increasingly more robust over time. In this case, I think it depends a lot on what you are actually doing in your space and documenting for WELL. If you have a full kitchen and are meeting all of the associated WELL Features, then yes, I think you have a case for an ID credit. However, if you only have a kitchenette in your CI project and don't regularly serve food to occupants, the requirements in WELL are primarily "not applicable," and the associated WELL Features are limited to things like plate size. My opinion is that that alone, or some similar circumstance, won't meet the ID requirements. Greater additionality will likely be required. You might want to check in with USGBC on your specific situation if you want a greater level of certainty on potential of using that as an option. I hope this helps, John M
