My project has a balcony that projects away from the building, and does not provide a roof to an enclosed space for the building. How should the balcony be treated for this credit?

NC-v4 SSc5:Heat island reduction

Glass Roof Above Stairwell

We are currently designing a new construction project that will have a glass roof above a stairwell shaft. Given that skylights are excluded from applicable roof area, would this glass roof also be excluded from heat island reduction calculations? Thank you.
