CI-v4 EQc2:Low emitting materials

Products with Zero-VOCs disclosed by MFG

If the manufacturer provides documentation indicating the product has zero VOCs, does additional documentation showing compliance w/ CDPH Standard Method V1.1-2010 still need to be provided? In this project, the consultant is submitting a PVC control joint. PVC is not inherently low-emitting (so cannot be exempted), however the VOC content is zero.

Stacey, in the case of a PVC control joint, I don't think it's in the credit scope, as it's not one of the categories that is covered. The general answer to your question depends on the category. In paints, for example, just VOC content isn't enough. CDPH testing is also required.
